Obituary for David Van Houten

David Van Houten, a lifelong resident of Nutley, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013 at his home. Mr. Van Houten was an engineer. He earned his BA from Fairleigh Dickenson College in Rutherford and was very active at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Nutley.
The beloved son of the late Marie & David Van Houten and brother of the late Eva Tier & Charlotte Singer, he is survived by a sister, Dorothy Tyrrell and many nieces & nephews.
The funeral will be Friday at 9:30a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Nutley at 10:30 a.m.
The interment will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-5 p.m.
