Real Estate Agent
Diane J. Myer, of Bloomfield, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at her home. Born in Newark, the daughter of the late Ann (Vaccaro) and Charles Smith, she lived in Belleville prior to moving to Bloomfield 52 years ago. Diane worked as a Real Estate Agent with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New Jersey Properties’ in Montclair. She was a hairstylist and had worked for many years at Glen Ridge Hairdresser that was owned by her late mother. Also she was a volunteer and served on the Board of Directors at the Bloomfield Animal Shelter.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Novak & her husband, Anthony; her sister, Susan Fata & her brother, Charles J. Smith. She was also the aunt of Ali Smith and her children Dominic & Ariana Busby and Kristin Colon and her children Chase & Jake Colon.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church at 9:30 a.m.
The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery on No. Arlington.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the S.O.B.A.S PO Box 241 Bloomfield, NJ 07003
