Retired hospital switchboard operator, dear sister, loving aunt and cousin
Dorothy L. Villa, 90 of Lakewood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 5, 2017. She is predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Frances Simmons and her brother, Martin Simmons. Dorothy was also the loving sister of Raymond N. Simmons and his wife, Rosemarie. Dorothy was born in Nutley and spent most of her life in Forked River. She was a switchboard operator at Point Pleasant Hospital before retiring. Her joys in life were boating, fishing, entertaining and spending time with her brother Raymond and his loving family. Dorothy also leaves behind many dear nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Monday December 11 at 9:30 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church 747 Bay Ave. Barnegat at 11:30 am followed by burial at Good Luck Cemetery in Lanoka Harbor.
Visiting will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-6 pm.
