Obituary for Edward C. Tremmel

Beloved husband, grandfather, brother and uncle
Edward C. Tremmel, Jr., of Nutley NJ passed away on Saturday, June 3rd. Born in Newark, the son of the late, Edward C. & Eleanor (Adams) Tremmel, Edward grew up in Irvington and lived in Newark and Kearny prior to moving to Nutley in 1981. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service, Belleville Annex as a mail carrier. Previously, Ed worked for the American Can Company in Hillside. Edward was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of American Legion Post #70 and VFW #493 in Nutley and the DAV Chapter #22 of Belleville.
The beloved husband of the late Kathleen (Landino) Tremmel, he is survived by his wife, Rose (Cucolo) Tremmel and her 2 children and 5 grandchildren; his sons, Edward C Tremmel III and his wife Angela and their 3 daughters; Salvatore Tremmel and his wife Natasha and their 3 sons; his daughters Barbara DeBlasi and her husband Emilio and their daughter, and Debbie Zecchino and her fiancée Bruce Riley and her son. He is also survived by a sister, Elizabeth Kmetz, as well as his many loving nieces and nephews whom will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by 2 sisters and a brother.
The funeral will be Friday at 8:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 9:30 a.m.
The interment will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to American Diabetes Association or the Disabled American Veterans would be appreciated.
