Obituary for Floyd F. Puglis

Heavy Equipment Operator
Floyd F. Puglis, of East Rutherford, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Born in Paterson, the son of the late Jean (Ruzzo) & Frank J. Puglis, he lived in West Paterson prior to moving to East Rutherford 39 years ago. Floyd was an Army Paratrooper during the Korean War. He retired as a heavy equipment operator.
Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Majowicz) Puglis; 2 children, Natalie McCauley & her Fiancée, John and Mark Puglis and his wife, Lorraine; 3 grandchildren, Nicole Valent & her husband, Michael, Gabriella & Christie Puglis and 2 great-grandchildren, Haylee & Michael. He is also survived by a sister, Susan Kotch and a brother, Frank Puglis, Jr.
The funeral will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 10:30 a.m.
The entombment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 3-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) would be preferred.
