Obituary for Frederick J. Szablicki
Devoted & Loving Husband, Father & Friend.
Frederick (Freddy) Szablicki of Nutley. passed away on Tuesday January 23, 2018. Born in Hackensack he was the son of the late Mary (Posluszny) and John Szablicki. Fred was a graduate of Farleigh Dickinson University. He was employed by the NJ Sports and Exposition Authority (Meadowland Racetrack) for over 30 years retired in 2017.
He was a devoted father to children Melissa (Szablicki) Pasqua and Justin Szablicki. He assisted in coaching their baseball and softball teams . He loved watching both his children participate in sports at all levels. He loved basketball and tennis and participated on recreational leagues.
He is survived by his wife Lynda (Candee) Szabicki, two children Melissa Szablicki (Pasqua) Justin Szablicki, his brother Henry Szablicki, He is also survived by Aunt Ann Zaszewski, as well as many nieces nephews and cousins.
Relatives & friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:30 to 1:30 with the funeral service at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Nutley Family Service Bureau 155 Chestnut St. Nutley or the Nutley Volunteer Emergency & Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 172 Nutley, NJ 07110 would be appreciated.
