Obituary for Gerald J. Adubato

Gerald J. Adubato, of Barnegat, passed away, Monday, November 4, 2013 at his home. Born in Newark, he lived in Nutley before moving to Barnegat 11 years ago.
He retired as a teacher with the Bergen County Vocational Schools and a member and past president of the NJEA of Bergen County.
Mr. Adubato was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and the AARP Tax Preparation Department.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Yvonne M. (Robertson) Adubato; three children, James & his wife, Maria, Paul & his wife, Melissa and Allison Belo & her husband, Tony; three sisters, Lillian Ferrara, Joanne Candura & AnnMarie Mc Evoy; a brother, Michael and 5 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Louise Kot and three brothers, Thomas, Frank & Louis.
The funeral will be Thursday, 10:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church at 11:30 a.m.
The entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, No. Arlington.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 would be appreciated.
