Obituary for Gerard F. Immersi
“Everyone that knew him loved him”
Gerard F. Immersi, Jr., of Nutley, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017. Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Caldwell prior to moving Nutley 6 years ago. A graduate of James Caldwell High School, Jerry was the owner of Donna Motors in Belleville where he worked with his grandfather buying and selling antique automobiles.
He is survived by his parents, Donna (Abagnale) & Gerard F. Immersi; his sister, Gabrielle Immersi; his maternal grandparents, Joan & Emil “Sonny” Abagnale; his cousin, Samantha and he was also survived and loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Gerard was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Caroline & Frank Immersi.
The funeral service will take place on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The entombment at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield will follow the services.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to The Epilepsy Foundation of Metropolitan New York would be preferred.
