Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother
Irene Montanari, of Nutley passed away on Valentine’s Day Morning, 2018. Born in Newark, the daughter of the late Josephine (Scourzo) & Pasquale Genovese, she lived in Newark prior to moving to Nutley 46 years ago.
Irene Montanari joined her beloved late husband, Anthony Montanari Newark Police Lieutenant, and daughter Kimberly Luberto in heaven.
She is survived by her son, a Nutley Police Sergeant, Anthony P. & his wife Elaine Montanari; a sister, Maryann Peterpaul and four wonderful grandchildren that she adored, Ariella Luberto & fiancée, Peter Latino, Anthony Luberto, and Sonny & Madison Montanari.
The funeral will be Friday at 8 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield at 9 a.m.
The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in No. Arlington.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
