Obituary for J. Eileen Connolly

World Wide Traveler
J. Eileen Connolly, of West Caldwell, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Born in Jersey City, the daughter of the late James A. & Doris (formerly Selma Toeppfer) Connolly, she lived in Newark prior to moving to West Caldwell 5 years ago. She retired from NJ Bell Telephone in Newark as an assistant manager. Eileen was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, the Sierra Club, and the Queen of Peace School Alumni Association.
Julia attended Seton Hall University and also a Berkeley Secretarial School Graduate. She was an animal lover and world traveler, having visited all 7 continents.
She is survived by her godchildren, Patricia Weiss and John Cotter.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Aloysius Church, 219 Bloomfield Avenue in Caldwell on Monday at 9:30 a.m.
The interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Best Friends Animal Society or the North Shore Animal League would be appreciated.
