Obituary for James Caccavella

Loving husband, father and grandfather, proud U.S. Army veteran
James Caccavella, of Belleville, passed away on Sunday March 11, 2018. Born in Newark, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Lucia (Salvagno) Caccavella. Mr. Caccavella moved to Belleville 50 years ago and was the owner of Maplewood Transmission Service before retiring. He was also a proud U.S. Army veteran serving with the 188th Airborne Infantry Regiment.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carmella (Paserchia) Caccavella, his son, James, Jr., his daughter, Lucia Kania and her husband Richard and his grandchildren, James, Lisa, Maria and Michael. He also leaves his brother, David Caccavella and was predeceased by brother Dominick; his sister, Carmella Amoroso and his brother, Anthony.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Thursday March 15 at 8:30 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, Nutley at 9:30 am followed by entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7-9 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to East Orange Campus of the VA New Jersey Health Care System, 385 Tremont Ave, East Orange, NJ 07018 would be appreciated.
