Obituary for John Kremen

Army Veteran and Operations Technician
John Kremen, Jr., 60 of Santa Maria, CA and formerly of Nutley, passed away on Thursday November 30, 2017 in his home. John was a 1975 graduate of Nutley High School. May of 1977 he enlisted in the US Army and served until May of 1980. In 1981 he went to work for Ford Aerospace in Sunnyvale, CA., where he trained in electronics. He then went on to work in Thule, Greenland and then the Seychelles Islands. Most recently he worked as an operations technician with Five Rivers Services at Vandenberg Air Force Base in Santa Maria, CA., where he lived for 25 years. Although he lived most of his life on the west coast, John was a devoted New York Sports fan always following the Giants, Knicks, Mets, and Rangers.
He is survived by his mother, Mabel (Payne) Kremen; his sister, Karen Ginter & her husband, James; his brother, Richard Kremen & his wife, Rebecca; his nieces and nephews, Tasha,Sonja, Kelly, Megan, Helena & Ian; great nieces and nephews, Hope, Tilley, Justin and Brody and his great, great nephew, Aidan. John was predeceased by his father, John Kremen, Sr. and his sister, Kathy Kremen.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at St. Mary’s Church in Nutley at 10:45 am.
The entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) would be preferred.
There will be no public visitation
