Obituary for John Saporito

World War II Army Veteran
John Saporito, of Belleville, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018. Born in Newark, he was the son of the late Lena (D’Auria) & Ralph Saporito, he lived in Newark prior to moving to Belleville 46 years ago.
He retired from Lockheed Electronics in Plainfield as a foreman. John was also an Army Veteran of World War II who served in Central Europe, Rhineland and Sicily.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Anna (Vessichelli) Saporito and his sons, Louis & his wife, Ivy and John Saporito.
The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Lucy’s Church in Newark at 11 a.m.
The interment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Clifton.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-9 p.m.
