Obituary for John J. Zattor
John J. Zattor, Sr., of Bloomfield, passed away on Monday July 27, 2015. Born in Mary D, Pennsylvania, he had lived in Nutley before coming to Bloomfield 15 years ago. Mr. Zattor was a shipping department clerk with Sherwin-Williams Paint in Newark for 31 years before retiring in 1981. He was also an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving as an aircraft engine mechanic.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Viola C. (Bongo) Zattor, he is survived by his son, John J. Zattor, Jr. and his grandchildren, Steven Michael and Emma Lena.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home on Friday July 31 at 9:45 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley at 10:45 am followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
Visiting will be at the funeral home on Thursday July 30 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Nutley Emergency and Rescue Squad, PO Box 72 Nutley, NJ 07110 or the St. Mary’s Church Food Pantry 17 Msgr. Owens Pl. Nutley, NJ 07110
