Obituary for Joseph Orinick

Army Veteran, Devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather
Joseph Orinick of Nutley, passed away on Friday April 14, 2017. Born and raised in Simspon, PA, he was the son of the late Wasil and Anna Bischak Orinick. Mr. Orinick came to Nutley 70 years ago and was a repair technician with Ohaus Scales in Florham Park for 12 years before retiring and was previously employed with Otis Elevator Corp in Harrison for 33 years. Joseph was a proud U.S. Army veteran, serving in Germany for 5 years and was member of Stuart E. Edgar Post 493 and American Legion Post 70, both in Nutley. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Theresa (Lemma) Orinick. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Ann Marie Bruder and her husband, Joseph, his granddaughters, Kimberly and Renee Bruder. Joseph was the brother of the late Helen, Myron and Luba Orinick, Justine Yanchek and John Orinick and was the dear brother-in-law of Carmine Lemma and wife, Julie, Lynne Lemma, Rose Lemma and the late Frank and Nicholas Lemma. He also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St. Nutley on Thursday April 20 at 8:45 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 719 Sanford Ave, Newark at 10 am
The interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.
Relatives and friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 pm.
