Obituary for Lewis Robert Gills
Lewis Robert Gills, formerly of Passaic, passed away on Wednesday, December 13 2017 at his home. Born in Newark, he lived in Newark and Passaic prior to recently moving to Nutley. Lewis was a Bail Bondsman and owner of AAA Bail Bonds in Passaic and was the president of the Passaic Lions Club.
Predeceased by his father, Lewis Melvin Gills, he is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn (Matto) Gills; his mother, Rita Mary Ann (Chase) Gills; two sons, Lewis R. Gills, Jr. & Tyler James Gills; three stepchildren, Amanda, Gianna & Frank Tamburino; a grandson, Landen Jacob Gills; two sisters, Dianna Lynn Gills & Kelly Farnham; a brother, Dustin Farnham and a half-sister, Dianna Byrns.
The funeral service will held at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St., Nutley on Monday at 7 p.m.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
The cremation services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be preferred.
