Obituary for Margaret M. Morrison
Retired Switchboard Operator
Margaret M. “Peggy” Morrison, of Toms River, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 peacefully at her home. Born in Orange, NJ, the daughter of the late Emma Louise (Dietrich) & Joseph Kelly, she lived in Orange and then Bloomfield prior to moving to Toms River 28 years ago. She retired from New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. in Montclair as a switchboard operator.
The beloved wife, of 45 years, of late Robert John Morrison, she is survived by her children, Kathleen Kiausas & her husband Leonard, Robert James Morrison & his wife Susan and Patricia “Pam” Masucci & her husband Michael; her four cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth Blair & her husband Ronald, James Morrison & his wife Erica, Heather Boone & her husband Timothy and Christopher Morrison and her three loving great-grandchildren, Tyler Blair, Theodore Morrison and Grayson Boone.
Peggy loved spending time with her family. She will be missed immensely.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 12:15 p.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Avenue in Bloomfield.
The interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.
There will be no public visitation prior to the funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated.
