Obituary

Mary Ricciardi (Yarosz) was born August 15, 1925 in Passaic, NJ to John Yarosz and Sopia Surdyka Yarosz. When she was two years old her parents purchased a dairy farm in Pine Bush, NY, where she grew up. She graduated from Pine Bush High School at the top of her class in 1943. After the war she worked as an accountant for Western Electric Company first in New York City and later in Jersey City and after 17 years left to start a family. She married Vincent F. Ricciardi on August 20, 1955 and they settled in Nutley, NJ in 1964. Mary was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Walter and her sister, Frances Yarosz. Mary is survived by her loving husband of almost 65 years, Vincent, her son John (a Major in the United States Air Force) a and his wife, Jennifer, and their children, Morgan, Sophia and Isabella and her daughter Lorraine Rysz and her husband Scott and their son Christopher along with many nieces and nephews. Mary was the heart of the family, always spreading love and joy. She will always be remembered for her delicious cooking and baking and for hosting many family gatherings. She was selfless and always put the needs of others before her own. Warm memories of her will always fill our hearts.
