Obituary for Mary Louise Veltri
Devoted daughter & sister
Mary Louise Veltri of Belleville passed away on Wednesday May 9, 2018. Born in Amantea, Calabria Italy, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Angela (Launi) Veltri. Mary Louise emigrated from Italy in 1934 at the age of 7 and lived in Newark before coming to Belleville 73 years ago. Ms. Veltri was a secretary with Westinghouse Electric in Bloomfield, now Philips Electronics North America, before retiring. She was a member of the St. Peter’s Rosary Altar Society, the Belleville Irish American Club and the Columbiettes of Bloomfield. She is survived by her dear brother, Alphonse A. Veltri.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St. Nutley on Monday May 14 at 10:30 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Church, Belleville at 11 am followed by burial at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.
Visiting will be the funeral home on Monday morning from 9-10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
