Obituary for Michael Maffucci
Retired House Painter
Michael Maffucci, of Nutley, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016. Born in Montclair to the late Canio & Florence (Zarrillo) Maffucci, he lived in Nutley and Beechwood prior to returning to Nutley 4 years ago. He was a retired house painter and an Army Veteran of World War II. Michael was also a life member of the Nutley Elks BPOE 1290 and he loved to play the spoons.
The beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Jane (Crate) Maffucci, he is survived by his children, Michael Maffucci, Jr., & his wife, Lynda; Deborah Lynn and Dianna Lee Maffucci; four grandchildren, Michael Christopher, Nicole, Amanda & Jessica and three great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Zachary & Ryan. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Ann Maffucci and several sisters & brothers.
Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
The funeral service will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The interment will follow on Friday at 10 a.m. at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Nutley Volunteer Emergency & Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 172 Nutley, NJ 07110 would be preferred.
