Obituary for Paul J. Scrudato

Vice President of Sales
Paul J. Scrudato, Jr. of Nutley, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017. Born in Montclair to the late Pauline (Orlando) & Paul J. Scrudato, Sr., he was a lifelong resident of Nutley. He retired as the Vice President in charge of sales of Equipco, formerly Fenwick Machinery in Readington, NJ. He was also the Chairman of the Board of Adjustments for the Township of Nutley and a former member of the Nutley Culinary Club.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Joan D. (Griffin) Scrudato; five children, Irene Tagarelli & her husband, Nicholas, Paul Scrudato III & his wife, Sandra, Denise Reppa & her husband, Frank, Peter J. and David Scrudato; six grandchildren, Tiffany Tagarelli, Esq., Samantha Morales, Lauren & Kove Scrudato and Joseph Santos and four great-grandchildren, Frank & Brandon Reppa and Luciano & Brooklyn Morales. Also surviving are his two sisters, June Abene and Paula Ostow & her husband, Michael Ostow, Esq.; two brothers, Dr. Ronald Scrudato & Steven Scrudato and many loving nieces & nephews. Paul was predeceased by his son, Gerald Scrudato; two grandchildren, Heather & Frank Reppa and his brother-in-law, Jack Abene.
The funeral will be Thursday at 9:45 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church in Nutley at 10:45 a.m.
The entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in No. Arlington
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated.
