Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother
Praxedes Estevez, of North Haledon, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Oriente, Cuba, the daughter of the late Eulalia (Gamez) and Jose Urbano Leyva, she was born in Cuba and immigrated to The United States 51 years ago residing in Newark, NJ.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Elis Estevez; her daughter, Marietta Lopez and her husband Rene; three sons, Hector Estevez and his wife, Maria; Jorge Estevez and his wife, Lisetta; Urbano Estevez and his wife Diane; ten grandchildren: Lynette Palmieri, Amy Ponce, Eric Estevez, Sarah Estevez, Emily Bacolo, Hannah Estevez, Jonathan Lopez, Justin Estevez, Richard López, Jason Esteves, and her four great-grandchildren, Anthony Jr., Nicolas, Alyssa and Adam.
Visitors will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
There will be an entombment service held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Laurel Grove Cemetery, 295 Totowa Road Totowa, NJ.
