Obituary for Richard A. Luberto

Navy veteran, retired heavy equipment operator
Richard A. Luberto, Sr. of Nutley, passed away on Wednesday August 16, 2017. Born in Newark and raised in Lyndhurst, he was the son of the late Michael and Angelina (Gencarelli) Luberto. Mr. Luberto came to Nutley 29 years ago and was a heavy equipment operator with Operating Engineers Local 825. Richard was also a U.S. Navy veteran, an avid outdoor sportsman and enjoyed playing cards.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen (Giua) Luberto, his son, Jeffrey A. Luberto & wife, Bonnie and his grandchildren, Emily, Johnny, Stephanie & Hailey. He was predeceased by his sons, Richard A. Luberto, Jr. & Robb A. Weller and was the dear brother of Nicholas Luberto, Joyce Luberto & the late Michael Luberto, Jr.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St. Nutley on Monday August 21 at 9 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Nutley at 10 am.
The cremation and committal at Glendale Cemetery will be private.
Relatives and friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-7 pm.
