Obituary for Robert E. Boardingham

Robert E. Boardingham, of Nutley passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013. Born in Jersey City on February 9, 1930 to Frederick and Katherine (Almond) Boardingham, Bob had been a Nutley resident for over 40 years. Bob worked in the travel industry at various agencies in Manhattan until his retirement and served honorably as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Boardingham was also truly proud of his Irish American heritage.
He was predeceased by his son, Robert J. Boardingham. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia (Smith) Boardingham, his son, Brian and his wife, Christine, his beloved grandchildren, Brendan and Dylan and his sister, Kathleen Tooman.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Homeon Thursday at 9:30 am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley at 10:30 am. Cremation will be private. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-9 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, New York, NY 10163-4777.
