Obituary for Robert N. Franks

Retired electrician, member of IBEW Local 164
Bob Franks, 72 of Nutley, passed away on Friday February 10, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Newark, he was the son of the late Angelo and Susie E. (Martone) Franks. Mr. Franks was an electrician with IBEW Local 164 in Paramus for 40 years before retiring and was formerly with IBEW Local 52. Bob was also a member of Nutley Elks Lodge #1290 and was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather who enjoyed summers in Manasquan with family and friends and the poker rooms in Atlantic City.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marianne (Auriemma) Franks, his children, Karen Damico and Bobby Franks and his wife, Kathy. He also leaves his grandchildren, Anthony, Victoria and Joseph Damico and Elizabeth, Abigail and Matthew Franks. Bob was the dear brother of the late Nicholas Franks and brother-in-law of Dolores Franks and Diana Pastula and her husband, Ted.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St. Nutley on Wednesday February 15 at 8:30 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, Nutley at 9:30 am followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
Visiting will be on Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 4-8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Nutley Volunteer Emergency & Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 172, Nutley, NJ 07110 would be appreciated.
