Obituary for Rose Paparatto

Retired bookkeeper
Rose Paparatto formerly of Belleville, passed away on Saturday December 23, 2017. Born and raised in Newark, she had lived in Belleville most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Letizia (D’Aloia) Maffia. Mrs. Paparatto was a bookkeeper for the Belleville Motor Lodge for 20 years, retiring in 1988 and was a graduate of Drake Business School in Newark. Rose was also a member of the Wednesday Club in Belleville and the Nutley Chapter of AARP. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 72 years, Sabatino “Sam” Paparatto, her daughter-in-law, Marcia and her grandson, Mark. She is survived by her sons, Joseph & his wife Marcia, Michael & his wife Alice, Thomas, Sabatino J. “Sam” Paparatto, Jr. & his wife Laura, her grandchildren, Eric, Steven, Michael, Gregory & Nina, her great granddaughter, Illyanna, two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Rose was also the dear sister of Ciriaco, Michael and the late Anthony Maffia and Lucy Quagliato.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Wednesday December 27 at 10 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mother Cabrini Chapel at Holy Family Church, Nutley at 11:00 am
The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visiting will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
