Obituary for Thomas J. McIntyre

Retired NJ Bell foreman, Naval Reserve veteran
Thomas J. McIntyre of Bloomfield, passed away on Friday July 7, 2017. Born and raised in Newark, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Grace (Judge) McIntyre. Mr. McIntyre came to Bloomfield 43 years ago and was a construction foreman with New Jersey Bell Telephone in Newark before retiring. He also served with the U.S. Naval Reserve and was an avid fisherman and NY Jets and Yankees fan. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Linda (Sheridan) McIntyre in 1997. He is survived by his devoted children, Mark and Michael McIntyre, Lisa Boyd and his grandchildren, Sean, Kelsey and Heather. He also leaves his sisters, Lynn Goldblatt and Eleanor Kalman and his nieces and nephews, Patrick, Jennifer & Chris, Laura & Scott and Leah, Stefanie & Abigail.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St. Nutley on Friday July 14 at 9 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Bloomfield at 10 am followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Relatives and friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Ave. Bloomfield, NJ 07003.
