Obituary for Vito Zappulla

Retired draftman, Navy veteran of World War II
Vito Zappulla of Bloomfield, passed away on Friday December 22, 2017. Born and raised in Newark, he was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (DiPaolo) Zappulla. Since 1954, Mr. Zappulla has resided in Bloomfield. He was a senior draftsman with I.T. & T. in Nutley, retiring in 1991 and was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and member of VFW Post 711 in Bloomfield. Vito was predeceased by his beloved wife, Helen (Critelli) Zappulla, his brothers, Philip Gentile and Joseph Zappulla and his sister, Concetta (Gentile) Pilchman. He is survived by his loving sister, Louise A. Zappulla and sisters-in-law, Phyllis Zappulla and Rose Gentile. He also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home 267 Centre St. Nutley on Wednesday December at 8:30 am.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, Nutley at 9:30 am.
The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Visiting will be on Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Homeside Hospice would be appreciated.
